DKI BPBD Ensures All Inundation In Jakarta Has Receded This Morning

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) said that the inundation that had occurred in Jakarta on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, was confirmed to have receded on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, morning at around 06.00 WIB.

"It's all receded this morning," said Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Pusdatin, Mohamad Yohan when confirmed by VOI.

BPBD noted that until Wednesday morning at around 06.00 WIB, all inundation in the DKI Jakarta area had receded.

"This is thanks to collaborative efforts carried out by BPBD, SDA Service, Gulkarmat Service, Highways Office, Environment Service, Satpol PP and PPSU Kelurahan which have deployed the following personnel with supporting equipment such as mobile pumps in attracting puddles and ensuring that the water lines function properly," he said.

Nevertheless, the DKI Jakarta BPBD appealed to the public to remain alert to the potential for inundation that occurs in their area.

"In an emergency, immediately call phone number 112. This service is free and operates for 24 hours non-stop," he said.

Previously, heavy rains that flushed the West Jakarta area and its surroundings caused the North Sukabumi Village area to be flooded as high as 30 cm on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, afternoon.

"A 30-cm high puddle hit 1 RT in North Sukabumi Village, West Jakarta," said Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Pusdatin, Mohamad Yohan when confirmed by VOI.

Floods occurred due to high rainfall on Tuesday afternoon.

"The cause of the inundation was due to the overflow of the Secretariat River and high rainfall," he said.

In addition to inundation in the North Sukabumi Village area, West Jakarta, the DKI Jakarta BPBD stated that the inundation that occurred on Jalan Ciledug Raya, Cipulir Village, South Jakarta, had receded.

"The puddle on Jalan Ciledug Raya, Cipulir Village, South Jakarta has receded," he said.
