Avoid Non-Procedural Umrah, Umrah Likes To Be An Option
JAKARTA The phenomenon of independent Umrah or backpacker is booming again. Many prospective pilgrims hunt for promo plane tickets, order their own hotels, and take care of visas independently for low prices. However, the risk of being abandoned at the airport or failing to leave is not small. The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) calls this trend a non-procedural Umrah that has the potential to violate the rules.

The Ministry of Religion reminded that non-procedural Umrah violates Law no. 8 of 2019 Article 86, with the risk of visa inspection, deportation, and a ban on Saudi Arabia for a certain period of time.
