Dillian Whyte Encourages Anthony Joshua To Fight Jake Paul

JAKARTA The British heavyweight boxer, Dillian Whyte, encouraged compatriot Anthony Joshua (AJ) to get into the ring against Jake Paul if the duel enlivened a lucrative prize money.

AJ is said to be receiving the highest pay in his career if he wants a duel against the YouTube star who has just entered the boxing. Negotiations to create the clash have also intensified in recent weeks.

Whyte said that Joshua should accept this fight if it is an offer that makes sense and is difficult to refuse.

"I'm sure he will make more money than he made in some of his title fight fights."

"So, sometimes if you can make money, then make money," said Whyte.

The duel plan between Joshua and Jake Paul will be realized in 2026. Eddie Hearn as promoter Anthony Joshua did not rule out the possibility of fighting Jake Paul as his next target.

However, it is very unlikely that the British Boxing Supervisory Board (BBCoC) will approve Anthony Joshua versus Jake Paul's fight as a professional contest.

Despite having 13 fights in the ring and beating a number of big names like Mike Tyson, Jake Paul clearly has a professional heavyweight experience than Joshua, who was once world champion.

Victory over Mike Tyson also cannot be separated from controversy. That's because the age difference between the two is very far away. Jake Paul is 28 years old, while Tyson is 59 years old.

Thus, the level of risk Paul may have is a concern for many parties. After all, Joshua is a professional fighter who has very high flight hours and is still active.

Most Valuable Promotions CEO, Nakisa Bardian, who is also Paul's partner, both founded MVP saying she is not at all worried about safety that many parties doubt.

"This will be lived as a professional battle. I think there is indeed an experience gap between the two of them in terms of the development of their careers."

"From my point of view, Joshua is an active heavyweight boxer. It is likely that Anthony Joshua can land a heavyweight shot much higher than Mike Tyson has," he said.

Joshua has not played again since losing against Daniel Dubois in September 2024. At that time, these two names boarded the ring for the IBF heavyweight belt.
