The U-17 Indonesian National Team Failed To Maintain The Advantages Of The Tajikistan In The 2025 Independence Cup

JAKARTA - The U-17 Indonesian national team's victory over Tajikistan U-17 which was already in front of the eyes. In the inaugural match of the 2025 Independence Cup at the North Sumatra Main Stadium, Deli Serdang, Tuesday, August 12, 2025, both teams had to share one point with a final score of 2-2.

Since the beginning, the Indonesia U-17 match immediately appeared to attack. However, the Garuda Muda attack has not endangered the opponent's goal.

After that, Indonesia U-17 began to relax pressure and focused on maintaining the 2-1 advantage. Tajikistan continues to threaten to find an equalizer.

In the 78th minute, Tajikistan got a golden opportunity through Nazrief Muhammad. Despite being very closely guarded, Nazriev was still able to open fire that hit Mathew Baker's leg and was later caught by the goalkeeper.

Tajikistan's repeated attacks finally paid off in the 90th minute. Ashuralizoda Nazrullo broke into the Indonesia U-17 goal after receiving Nazriev's cross from the left. Tajikistan equalized 2-2.

Indonesia U-17 had several times spread threats to injury time, but none of their efforts resulted in making another advantage.
