Head Of BGN: Realization Of State Budget For MBG As Of August 11 Reaches IDR 8.2 Trillion
JAKARTA - Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Prof. Dadan Hindayana said the realization of the APBN for the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program as of August 11, 2025 reached IDR 8.2 trillion, and the target is that by the end of this month it will reach IDR 10 trillion to IDR 11 trillion.
From the realization of the budget for MBG, BGN has formed 5,103 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) in all provinces of Indonesia, precisely in 38 provinces, 502 districts, and 4,770 sub-districts.
"The beneficiary is already above 15 million, and God willing, it will be close to 20 million," Dadan said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 12.
Dadan then explained that the Rp8.2 trillion disbursed for MBG was focused on intervening in nutritional intake for school children and pregnant women in various parts of Indonesia.
BGN itself targets that by the end of August 2025 there will be 8,000 SPPG operating, especially those financed by the APBN, with the target recipients up to close to 20 million.
"Right now, these partners have registered for a long time, yes, we have built the SPPG, only we have to speed up the verification. So, we have been accelerating the verification process for more than 2 weeks, shortening the administrative process, and also including financing. So, we sent the financing early so that the beneficiaries could increase in the not too distant future," said Dadan revealing his strategy to achieve the target of approaching 20 million MBG recipients by the end of August 2025.
Another strategy, Dadan explained, is that BGN will also coordinate to accelerate procurement through the e-Catalog electronic system. "So, later there will be through the e-Catalog carried out by BGN itself. We have burdened some of them, or we ask for help from PU for acceleration (building the MBG kitchen, ed.)," said Dadan.
President Prabowo Subianto last month in Jakarta announced he was targeting 20 million MBG recipients by the end of August 2025.

The President said that his staff in charge of MBG were optimistic that the target of 20 million MBG recipients could be achieved more quickly, possibly before August 17, 2025, which coincided with the commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.
"They reported to me, sir, this could be accelerated, most likely we can reach the figure of 20 million InSya-Allah before August 17, and after that it will continue to rise, and we pray, we hope that in December this year it will reach 82.9 million beneficiaries," said the President.
Apart from that, the President reminded his staff to maintain standards, including kitchen administrators who still have to get adequate training, including staff from the administrative and kitchen finance departments who must also understand how to manage money. "And it takes time," continued President Prabowo.
