Radin Inten Lampung Airport Returns To International Airport

BandARLAMPUNG - Radin Inten II Airport Lampung has been re-established as an international airport and is currently preparing a number of supporting requirements.

"The government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Decree of the Minister of Transportation Number KM 37 of 2025 has officially re-established Radin Inten II Lampung Airport as an international airport," said General Manager of Radin Inten II Airport Lampung Granito Wahyu Hindrawan based on his statement in Bandarlampung, Lampung, Tuesday, August 12.

He said the issuance of the Minister of Transportation's decision regarding the return of the status of the international airport at Radin Inten II Airport was good news for the people of Lampung.

"Based on this decision, Radin Inten II Lampung Airport is making several preparations that are mandatory requirements for international airports. One of them is the fulfillment of documents in the form of a deliberation letter from the minister in charge of duties and functions in the defense sector, as well as a ministerial recommendation letter that carries out duties and functions in the fields of customs, immigration and quarantine that must be submitted to the Director General of Civil Aviation," he said.

He explained that these requirements must be conveyed before the implementation of overseas flight activities no later than six months after the ministerial decision is made.

Furthermore, simultaneously Radin Inten II Airport Lampung is also meeting the requirements for international airport safety, security and service facilities.

Including the availability of work units and personnel responsible for the implementation of customs, immigration and quarantine activities.

"In parallel, we are meeting the requirements for international airport safety, security and service facilities as well as work units and customs, immigration and quarantine personnel," he added.

He also hopes that in the implementation of preparations for Radin Inten II Lampung Airport as an international airport.

All preparation processes get full support from the government, the people in Lampung Province and all related parties so that international flight routes can be carried out at Radin Inten II Airport in Lampung.
