VOI Today: D-1 Big Demo In Pati, Regent Sudewo Resigns Or Is Impeached?

JAKARTA - One day before the massive demonstration in Pati, Central Java, political tension heated up. Thousands of residents filled the road to the Regent's Office, demanding Regent Sudewo resign from his position.

The main trigger is the UN increase policy of 250 percent even though it has been canceled, but then it has widened to criticism of projects that are considered to waste the budget.

With the police and Satpol PP on standby, the situation in Pati is getting tense. Sudewo's position, who is also a Gerindra Party cadre, made this polemic have a wider impact on the party's image.
