Jakarta Contributes Nearly Half Of Total QRIS Transactions Throughout Indonesia
JAKARTA - Deputy Head of Bank Indonesia DKI Jakarta Representative Yosamartha revealed that QRIS transactions or Quick Response Code Indonesia Standard in Jakarta contributed almost half of the total QRIS transactions in Indonesia.
This was revealed at the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 Jakarta National QRIS Week (PQN) at the Martha Christina Tiahahu Literacy Park, South Jakarta.
"It turns out that QRIS transactions in Jakarta are almost 50 percent national. Jakarta alone, around 43-45 percent. So, if people say how great QRIS is, yes Jakarta, because we donated almost half of Indonesia," said Yosamartha, Tuesday, August 12.
The high value of QRIS Jakarta transactions is also in line with Jakarta's highest digital competitiveness index on a national scale.
"Jakarta is a game changer. Almost all of these digitalization initiatives were born in Jakarta," he said.

This, according to Yosamartha, shows that Jakarta is the center for digitalization initiation in the creative industry, education, health, and other priority sectors.
On that occasion, Yosamartha also revealed that Jakarta's economic growth in the second quarter was at 5.18 percent. This figure is higher than the national figure of 5.12 percent.
"When we talk about contributions, Jakarta's inflation has contributed almost a fifth of the national level. So if we are weakly sluggish, Indonesia coughs," he added.
