Because Of Showing Off Sickles On Social Media, Teenagers In Koja Cry When Visited By The Police

JAKARTA A teenager with the initials MHR (19) who showed off a sharp weapon in the UKA Complex area, Tugu Utara Village, Koja, North Jakarta, led to an arrest by the police. The video of his actions went viral on social media before the Koja Police Criminal Investigation Unit moved to arrest the perpetrators.

Koja Police Chief, Kompol Dr. Andry Suharto, explained that MHR had tried to eliminate evidence by hiding sickles on the roofs of residents' houses. However, these efforts failed.

At around 19.30 WIB, the Criminal Investigation Unit found a purple sickle on top of a resident's house. The weapon was used by the perpetrators to attack settlements," said Andry, Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

The police are still examining witnesses and developing an investigation to find out if any other parties were involved in the action.

Andry also appealed to the public, especially parents, to pay more attention to their children's activities.

"We invite all parties to jointly maintain environmental security and prevent harmful actions," he said.
