Porsche Leipzig Factory Wins Prestigious Award, Proves Innovative Excellence Of Production
JAKARTA The Porsche factory at Leipzig again shows its superiority in the automotive industry. The factory in Saxony, Germany, won the prestigious Automotive Lean Production Award 2025 in the OEM category (Original Equipment Manufacturer).
Referring to information on the manufacturer's website, today, this award has been awarded annually since 2006 by consultant Agamus Consult in collaboration with the automobil Production specialist magazine. This award recognizes manufacturing sites that have made a tremendous contribution to lean, modern, and digitally integrated production.
The Porsche Leipzig factory stands out thanks to its highly automated production process and digitally integrated.
Managing Director of Agamus Consult stated that this factory amazes the jury with the consistent application of lean principles, digital intelligence, and innovative automation always with a clear focus on quality and cost efficiency.
"From the start, the Porsche Leipzig factory has been established for transformation and adaptability. Today, three concepts of full gasoline, hybrid, and electricity are produced in the same production line. I personally am very pleased that our ability to master this high level of complexity is recognized through this award," said Member of the Executive Council for Production and Logistics at Porsche AG Albrecht Reimold, expressing his pride.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Management Board of Porsche Leipzig GmbH Gerd Rupp, said that this award is an acknowledgment of the hard work of the entire team at Leipzig.
"For us, this award is an acknowledgment as well as a source of motivation to continue to move forward with a strong determination," he said.
The Porsche Leipzig factory, which started operating in 2002, is currently home to the production of the Tigers and Panamera models. This award adds to its long list of achievements, including the Lean and Green Management Award in 2021 and the title Factory of the Year in 2023.
