Nissan Launches Driving Safety Project, "Madairuyo" Robot Trial Involves 100 Families
JAKARTA - Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. announced the launch of the "Parents-Child Driving Safety Project". This project aims to raise parental awareness about preventing accidents such as children who are left in the car, as well as looking for solutions to various problems that often arise when driving with children.
As part of this initiative, Nissan reported Japanese media Car Watch, Tuesday, August 12, will mass-produce 100 units of "Madairuyo" child care support robots. The robot is specially designed to prevent incidents of children falling behind in cars. Nissan will work closely with Autobacas Seven to organize a monitor trial involving 100 families across Japan.

In this trial, the participants will use Madairuyo in their homes. The goal is to increase user awareness and collect usage data through special applications to analyze the real situation regarding children left in the car.
Madairuyo consists of two dolls, one big ("Iruyo") which is placed in the car, and one small ("Baby Iruyo") worn on the child's arm. This system will send a warning notification to parents' smartphones through the application if the doll and smartphone are separated beyond the specified distance, indicating that the child may be left in the car.
The registration period for the trial of this monitor runs from August 8 to September 14, 2025, via a special website.
