ICar V23 Seen Road Tests In Indonesia, This Is What JAECOO Said

JAKARTA Some time ago, a car was caught on camera in a thick camouflage. It is strongly suspected that the vehicle is iCar V23, an off-road SUV that JAECOO plans to bring to the Indonesian automotive market.

Is this allegation true? Responding to this, Jaecool Indonesia's Head of Product, Ryan Ferdian Tirto, gave a little leak.

"For now, regarding the V23 camouflage car, we can't talk much yet. But just wait, in the near future there will be an official announcement," he said.

The car that is being tested is already using the right steering wheel and installing the Indonesian number plate. Ryan also did not rule out the possibility that later iCar V23 would be assembled locally.

"If the car is sold in Indonesia, it is hoped that everything will be assembled here," he added.

The VOI team itself has seen and tried directly to iCar V23 during a visit to China. As a result, the driving taste is considered good, the handling feels steady, and the suspension is quite comfortable.

In terms of design, iCar V23 carries a sturdy offroad style, with the characteristics of the iCar logo on the front as well as a round main light. In China, this car is equipped with a advanced driving assistance system, which is one of its advantages.

The technology includes Horizon Robotics J3 and Texas Instruments TDA4 chips, 8 MP front cameras, five millimeter wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars. The features include emergency lane keeping, clock assist traffic, automatic parking, remote parking, to memory parking.

iCar V23 is offered in two variants:

RWD with a 100 kW electric motor and 180 Nm torque.

AWD with an additional 55 kW electric motor and 112 Nm torque.

Acceleration of 0100 km/h can be achieved in 7.5 seconds. For batteries, the RWD version uses lithium iron phosphate 59.93 kWh with a distance of 401 km CLTC. While AWD is equipped with lithium ternary 81.76 kWh which is able to cover CLTC 501 km.
