Google Presents Gemini Integration In Docs For Android Users

JAKARTA At the end of last year, Google began integrating Gemini into its various products, including Docs. Initially, this feature was only available for desktops, but now its capabilities are present on mobile phones.

After nine months of being introduced to the Docs app on desktop, Google finally brought Gemini to the Docs version for Android devices. Through this expansion, users can now access Gemini on any device.

This is a capability that Docs loyal users have been waiting for on Android. After Gemini's integration was launched, users were now able to easily produce images based on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

This image can be used as an illustration or other support in the tasks users work on in Docs. That way, users no longer need to leave the app just to access Gemini's image generator.

"You can now generate images in your Document via your Android mobile device. After selecting the image, you can save it, copy it, or insert it into the document," Google explained, quoted on Tuesday, August 12.

Google began rolling out its features on August 8, 2025 in stages through fast and scheduled release domains. This launch will take 14 days until all users can access the feature.

Although its capabilities are being launched, not all users can access this feature. Gemini in Docs Android is only available to Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Standard and Plus, Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, as well as Gemini's add-on subscribers.
