Red And White Animated Film: One For All Accused Of Using Character Design Without Creator's Permit

JAKARTA - Controversy regarding the animated film Merah Putih: One for All continues. This time, controversy came from the set of characters suspected of using character designs without the permission of the creator.

This was claimed by a 3D artist named Junaid Miran who saw the similarities between his character and the trailer for the film.

He sold the character set on the Reallusion platform for $149 or equivalent to IDR 2.4 million. However, the use of the character was not carried out for the creation of commercial content such as the big screen.

Through the comments column of his YouTube account, Junaid Miran admitted that he had never been contacted by the film production.

"Thank you for the appreciation, all from Indonesia! To answer the questions most often asked: No, none of the production teams contacted me," Junaid Imran wrote.

"Or gave me credit for the use of my character as the main character in the film. They used 6 characters in total," he continued.

The six characters designed by Junaid are also seen in the trailer for the film as the main character. Junaid also wrote comments in the trailer.

"Lol, I'm the artist. And I didn't receive 149 dollars," he wrote.

The film Merah Putih: One for All has become a topic of conversation because of trailers and posters that have drawn negative responses. The film also shocked the public after producers claimed to use budgets of up to billions and work carried out in a month.
