Four Teenagers Of Thieves In Ciputat Arrested By The Metro Jaya Police Resmob In Depok

SOUTH TANGERANG Sub-Directorate of Mobile Investigation (Resmob) of the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya arrested four suspected perpetrators of sharp armed robbery of a resident who came home from work in the early hours of the morning in South Tangerang, Banten. The incident occurred on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at around 03.00 WIB at the Griya Larasati Griya Complex, Pondok Ranji, East Ciputat.

Head of Sub-Directorate for Resmob Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Resa Fiardi Marasabessy, said the perpetrators with the initials DI (24), NAR (19), ES (18), and AS (31) were arrested on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 in the Sawangan area, Depok.

"When the victim with the initials FH came home from his workplace in BSD, Serpong, using a motorbike, three perpetrators grabbed from the right side. One of the perpetrators pulled the victim's motorcycle handlebar until the victim swayed and fell," Resa said in an official statement, Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

After the victim fell, a perpetrator threatened with a sickle. The frightened victim stopped, then the perpetrator took away a motorbike along with a bag containing a cellphone, ID card, SIM, STNK, and ATM card.

The victim then reported to the South Tangerang Police. From the results of the investigation, officers managed to secure the perpetrators along with evidence in the form of one BPKB, one cell phone, and three sickles.

The suspects were charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code regarding theft accompanied by violence or threats of violence, as well as Article 480 of the Criminal Code concerning detention. The maximum penalty of nine years in prison awaits them.
