Venom: Let There Be Carnage Comes On June 25, 2021
JAKARTA - Not wanting to disappoint fans, Sony Pictures gave the latest news on the sequel to Venom. On Wednesday, April 22, the production house announced that Venom 2 will be released backwards from its initial release, October 2, 2020 to June 25, 2021. Still starring Tom Hardy, Venom 2 will be titled Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
Although Venom did not receive positive reactions, it did not prevent the film from making it to the box office list. The film released in 2018 managed to earn 850 million United States (US) dollars for all of its screenings.

Cast has also been announced, such as with the return of Tom Hardy as Venom and Michelle Williams as Anne Weying. In this sequel, Hardy will be faced with his enemy, Carnage, played by Woody Harrelson. The appearance of Harrelson has been seen in the Venom post credit section.
Apart from the three, Naomie Harries, Reid Scott, and Stephen Graham are confirmed to be cast in Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Later, this film will feature a lot of the relationship between Eddie Brock and Venom (both played by Tom Hardy) because the production team saw the reaction of fans who liked this interaction in the first part.
Director Andy Serkis will direct the sequel to Venom replacing Ruben Fleischer. He has worked mostly as an actor in the films Black Panther and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but he is also known for his behind-the-scenes work.
Serkis is also known as a motion capture actor in the films King Kong and Planet of the Apes so he can direct CGI to the character Venom for real because of his skills. However, there is no definite news whether the Venom sequel will use CGI in its shooting.
Not only the director, Venom: Let There Be Carnage also recruited a new script writer, Kelly Marcel who co-wrote Saving Mr. Banks. The cinematography is held by Robert Richardson who has worked extensively with Quentin Tarantino and Martin Scorsese.
Currently, the Venom sequel is entering the post production stage so that there are no obstacles due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But Sony Pictures still postponed the release of a sequel to next year.
