Fleeing For 2 Weeks, Robber 150 Grams Of Gold In Cianjur Arrested In Subang
The Cianjur Resort Police (Polres) arrested Rasidin (56), the perpetrator of the theft of a gold shop in Sindangbarang District after having fled to a number of cities in West Java for two weeks.
Head of the Cianjur Police Satreskrim Adjunct Komisrais Police Tono Listianto in Cianjur, Tuesday, said the perpetrator was arrested at a friend's house in Subang Regency, while the fugitive perpetrator had moved, including hiding in the forest before escaping out of town.
"Officers who were deployed received information that the perpetrator was in Subang's jurisdiction, so the officers immediately made arrests. Previously, the perpetrator was hiding in the forest and fled to Indramayu," he said.
From the hands of the perpetrators, the police confiscated Rp2 million in cash, gold jewelry and two motorbikes purchased by the perpetrators using stolen money. Meanwhile, the gold that the perpetrator took away was 150 grams and the money in the cashier's drawer amounting to Rp50 million was used for spree.
The perpetrator spent the stolen money and gold at entertainment venues and gave money to the woman he met in a number of cities. No money or jewelry was given to the family because after robbing the gold shop, the perpetrator fled out of town.
"The money is used for spree and paying for the woman he meets, currently the perpetrator is still undergoing examination at the Cianjur Police, the perpetrator is charged with Article 362 with a maximum threat of five years in prison," he said.

Sindangbarang Police Chief AKP Dadang Rustandi, said the perpetrator, who was known as a satay trader in front of a gold shop, was caught on CCTV so that the shopkeeper who found the window in an empty state immediately reported it to the Sindangbarang Police.
"Before carrying out the action around 10:00 WIB, the perpetrator had a chance to chat with the shopkeeper who said goodbye to the bathroom, that's when the perpetrator looted gold in the storefront and money at the cashier's desk," he said.
The perpetrator's actions were caught on CCTV installed in the shop, where the perpetrator looted a number of jewelry displayed in the storefront and Rp50 million in cash stored in the cashier's drawer, after the perpetrator fled.
