Banda Aceh Police Investigate Death Of BPKP Employee At Boarding House

BANDA ACEH - Banda Aceh Police are investigating the cause of death of an employee of the Aceh Representative Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), who was found dead in a boarding house in Banda Aceh, Sunday, August 10 evening.

"The cause of the victim's death is still under investigation," said Banda Aceh Police Chief Kombes Joko Heri Purwono, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 12.

The victim is known as Muhammad Afdal (25), from Sungai Bungkal District, Sungai Penuh Regency, Jambi Province. And just graduated from a civil servant at the BPKP office.

The police have so far investigated the crime scene (TKP) for the discovery of the victim's body in his boarding room in Gampong Ie Masen Kayee Adang, Syiah Kuala District, Banda Aceh.

Based on information from the family, the victim previously did not have a history of fatal illness. The family only tells about the daily lives of the victims. And there were no signs of violence on the victim's body.

"From the statement of the forensic doctor at the Zainoel Abidin General Hospital (RSUZA) Banda Aceh, there were no signs of violence on the victim's body," he said.

He said the discovery of the body was first discovered by Teuku Raja Andika as the owner of the boarding house after receiving news from other boarding house residents at around 18.15 WIB yesterday, to check the door of the victim's boarding house.

The reason is, the other boarding house residents have knocked on the victim's bedroom door several times, but have not received a response.

"Arriving at the boarding houses, the witness tried to open the door, but it couldn't be opened because there was a key in the room," he said.

The witness then tried to climb from above the door's ventilation using the stairs to enter the victim's room to open the door from the inside. And, found the victim lying on the room.

They also found the victim's body condition was cold. Then immediately reported the findings to the hamlet head to be continued to Bhabinkamtibmas," he said.

When carried out by the crime scene, he continued, in the room there were several items belonging to the victim on the bed. However, there were no suspicious items.

"At around 23.50 WIB, the victim's body was then evacuated to Banda Aceh Hospital for further investigation. The exact cause of death is still under investigation," he said.
