The Decision Has Been Inkrah, Komjak Urges The South Jakarta Kejari To Immediately Execute The Matutina Silfester

JAKARTA - The Prosecutor's Commission (Komjak) will attend the South Jakarta District Attorney's Office. The goal is to explore the reasons for the execution of Silfester Matutina never occurred.

"We will come to the South Jakarta Kejari to ask where the problem is," said Head of the Indonesian Prosecutor's Commission, Pujiyono Suwadi to VOI, Tuesday, August 12.

Komjak plans to visit the South Jakarta District Attorney this week. However, we cannot determine the exact time.

Pujiyono only stated that Silfester Matutina must be immediately executed. This is because the court's decision has permanent legal force, the chairman of the inkrah.

In fact, regarding the legal steps for Silfester Matutina who submitted a Review (PK), it was said that it could not be an excuse to postpone the execution process.

"It has been inkrah, so it must be executed, even though there is a PK that does not hinder the execution," he said.

If the South Jakarta District Attorney waits for the PK process, said Pujiyono, it will actually set a bad precedent for law enforcement in Indonesia.

In addition, these will also be carried out or imitated by other defendants.

Silfester Matutina is known to have officially submitted a PK application on August 5, 2025 at the South Jakarta District Court. The inaugural trial will be held on August 20, 2025.

"It could be that all the convicts ask for the execution to wait for the PK decision, we hope that before the PK trial it will be executed," said Pujiyono.

For information, referring to the official website of the Supreme Court (MA), Silfester Matutina was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months for a general criminal case in 2019. The verdict has permanent legal force or inkrah.

However, until now, the authorities, namely the South Jakarta District Attorney, have not made an exception even though the decision has permanent legal force since 6 years ago.
