Prada Lucky Dies Persecuted, Budi Gunawan Ensures Transparent Legal Process And In Accordance With Law
Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) Budi Gunawan said the Indonesian Army was investigating the case of the persecution of Prada Lucky Chepril Saputra Namo professionally.
"The Investigation Team of Kodam IX/Udayana and Denpom IX/1 Kupang investigators have worked professionally to reveal the facts," said Budi Gunawan, quoted by ANTARA Tuesday, August 12.
The man who is familiarly called BG explained that this can be seen from the 20 soldiers who have been named as suspects in the case.
According to BG, the legal process must run in accordance with applicable laws for the sake of upholding justice.
Not only according to procedures, BG asked that the legal process must also be open and transparent so that it can be directly monitored by the community and the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs itself.
"The Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs continues to monitor the development of this case and coordinate with the TNI to ensure that the handling runs according to procedures and upholds the principle of justice," said BG.
Pangdam IX/Udayana Maj. Gen. Piek Budyakto said 20 people had been named as suspects in the alleged abuse case that resulted in Prada Lucky Saputra Namo's death.
"There have been 20 people who have been named as suspects and have been detained," he told reporters in Kupang, Monday.
This was conveyed by Wahyu during a visit to Prada Lucky Namo's parents' house in the Kuanino army dormitory, Kupang City
He said of the 20 suspects, one of them was an officer who was suspected of being involved in the persecution, so Prada Lucky died.
Currently, he said, the examination process is still ongoing, which not only involves the Military Police Detachment (Denpom) but also from the Udayana Military Command to uncover the case.
As a TNI leader in the area of Kodam IX/Udayana, Pangdam Udayana admitted that he had lost young soldiers.
