People's Oil Wells Are Given State Permits, Potential Income IDR 2.5 Million Per Day

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia revealed that he had conveyed the work achievements of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in the first semester of 2025 to President Prabowo Subianto at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday, August 11.

One of them is the granting of permits to wells managed by the people, MSMEs, and BUMDs. However, the granting of permits is limited to oil wells that have existed for a long time from before Indonesia's independence.

According to Bahlil, the circulation of money from one well reaches IDR 2.5 million or around 1 to 3 barrels per day. This is done to increase oil and gas production.

In addition, Bahlil also reported to President Prabowo regarding that the oil and gas lifting target in 2025 had passed the target set in the APBN.
