TNI AD Explores The Role Of 20 Suspects Of The Death Of Prada Lucky

Head of the Information Service of the Indonesian Army (Kadispenad) Brigadier General Wahyu Yudhayana explained that his party would find out the role of 20 soldiers who were named suspects in the case of the persecution of Prada Lucky Chepril Saputra Namo.

"From those who have been named as suspects, it will be possible to find out what their respective roles are so that later articles can be applied to individuals," Wahyu said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 11.

Wahyu explained that currently 20 suspects are being questioned by the Army Military Police (POM AD).

From the results of the examination, later the suspects will be subject to articles in accordance with the violations that have been committed.

One of the articles that may ensnare the suspects is Article 170 of the Criminal Code concerning persecution together.

"There is Article 351, which relates to persecution, there is also Article 354, which intentionally injures other people, resulting in death," said Wahyu.

"There is also Article 131, which is a military person who deliberately hits a colleague or subordinate, there are sanctions," Wahyu added.

Wahyu ensured that the legal process that the suspect would undergo was open to monitoring the public. His party also ensures that the legal process runs according to the applicable military justice law.

Pangdam IX/Udayana Maj. Gen. Piek Budyakto said 20 people had been named as suspects in the alleged abuse case that resulted in Prada Lucky Saputra Namo's death.

"There have been 20 people who have been named as suspects and have been detained," he told reporters in Kupang, Monday.

This was conveyed by him during a visit to Prada Lucky Namo's parents' house in the Kuanino army dormitory, Kupang City

He said of the 20 suspects, one of them was an officer who was suspected of being involved in the persecution, so Prada Lucky died.

Currently, the investigation process is still ongoing, which involves not only the Military Police Detachment (Denpom) but also from the Udayana Military Command to uncover the case.

The Pangdam also regretted the incident, he admitted that he would take firm action in accordance with the applicable mechanisms and procedures.

"This incident, I regret it and I as Pangdam IX/Udayana as well as direct superiors, in this unit for this incident I will carry out my duties in accordance with the applicable mechanisms and procedures," he added.

He also said that the development of the case would also immediately be conveyed to the direct leadership at the TNI Headquarters, because it had been ordered to handle the case completely.

When the Pangdam arrived at the funeral home, Pangdam immediately hugged the father of the late Prada Lucky Saputra Namo, then faced Prada Lucky's mother and was immediately greeted with tears.

Seprina Paulina Mirpey as the mother of the late Prada Lucky while prostrates to beg the Pangdam IX/Udayana so that the perpetrators are punished according to their actions.

"Please don't slander anymore my parents, I am a mother. I am willing if my child dies on the battlefield, but this is in irresponsible persons," he continued.
