DPR Holds Annual Session August 15, Puan: Preparations Are 90 Percent

JAKARTA - The Annual Session of the MPR and the Joint Session of the DPR and DPD 2025 will be held at the Parliament Complex on August 15.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, revealed that the preparation of the DPR to hold a joint session was almost 100 percent.

"Yes, God willing, 90 percent is ready and will be carried out as in previous years," said Puan at the DPR building, Monday, August 11.

However, Puan did not specify what preparations had been finalized to welcome Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, the ranks of the White Angry Cabinet, as well as state guests and other invitees.

The theme carried by the DPR in a joint session this year, said Puan, would be in line with the Palace. Namely the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of Indonesia.

"Temanya, ya kita akan mengikuti tema 80 tahun perayaan seperti yang ada di palace," ucap Puan.

Although it is different from previous years which was always held on August 16, Puan said the event mechanism would remain the same as last year. Where President Prabowo will deliver his speech at least twice.

"And later the president will give a speech like last, twice. So we follow the mechanism like in previous years," he concluded.
