Highlighting The Case Of The Death Of Prada Lucky, The Speaker Of The House Of Representatives Reminds That Violence In The TNI Should Not Be Repeated Again
JAKARTA - The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, highlighted the case of the death of TNI soldier, Prada Lucky Saputra Namo, a victim of persecution by his seniors. Puan emphasized the importance of evaluating coaching within the TNI so that similar incidents do not occur again in the future.
"Of course, this should not happen again, that the relationship between seniors and juniors should not then be based on acts or violent behavior. But how to respect and respect each other, respect and respect each other," said Puan at the DPR building, Monday, August 11.
Puan also appreciated the investigations and investigations that had been carried out by law enforcement officers, which had named 20 people as suspects. He emphasized that the legal process must run fairly and transparently.
"So what has been done, an investigation is carried out Until finally 20 suspects have been determined or found, yes of course they must be processed fairly and processed properly," he said.
Puan assessed that giving penalties that provide a deterrent effect needs to be done. He also asked the TNI leadership to conduct a thorough evaluation of the TNI's system and mechanisms so that there would be no more similar violent practices.
"What is the cause and how should later be given the best deterrent sentence. And the existing mechanism must be evaluated so that it doesn't happen again," concluded Puan.

A total of 4 TNI soldiers were named as suspects in the case of Prada Lucky Chepril Saputra Namo who was allegedly killed because of being mistreated by seniors. Meanwhile, 16 other soldiers are still being investigated.
