Rupiah Closed Wednesday, Increasing 0.12 Percent To Rp15,450 Per US Dollar
JAKARTA - In fact, the rupiah during the day, Wednesday, April 22, in the spot market is in the red zone. But finally at the close, the rupiah was strong and strengthened 0.12 percent to the level of Rp 15,450 per US dollar (US).
The movement of the rupiah is also in line with the majority of currencies in the region which are also in the green zone. Until 3:00 p.m. WIB, only the South Korean won was in the red zone after weakening 0.24 percent against the US dollar.
Meanwhile, the Hong Kong dollar remains stagnant and unmoving from its Tuesday 21 April closing position.
The Singapore dollar was the currency with the highest strengthening pen after rising 0.36 percent. The next position was filled by the Thai baht, which strengthened 0.26 percent.
Followed by the Indian rupee which strengthened 0.22 percent. There was also the Japanese yen and Chinese yuan which both rose 0.16 percent. Following the Malaysian ringgit which has appreciated 0.15 percent.
