Wanting To Improve Visitors, Rano Karno Will Sterilize The Road Towards The Maritime Museum From The Trucks-Kontaner
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno revealed that the DKI Provincial Government will revitalize the Jakarta Maritime Museum so that the number of visitors increases. Currently, the Maritime Museum is increasingly empty of visitors.
However, according to him, so that the Bahari Museum is more attractive to the public, it is not enough just to revitalize. Access to the museum located on Jalan Pasar Ikan Number 1, Penjaringan, North Jakarta needs to be sterilized from heavy vehicles.
"I specifically ask our Department of Transportation to provide space for visits for our museum. I ask that on Saturdays or Sundays, at least one day of transportation in this area we can empty so that the number of visitors to our museum increases," said Rano at the Maritime Museum, North Jakarta, Monday, 11 August.
Rano understands that the location of the museum, which is near the northern sea of Jakarta, makes it difficult for people to visit history. This is because road access around it is often traversed by trucks and containers from and to Tanjung Priok Port.
"Transportation there, it makes people uncomfortable. Trucks, containers, all kinds of things. I ask, try to arrange it," said Rano.

At least, by sterilizing the road in one day or half a week, Rano hopes that the museum, which used to be used as a warehouse for trading commodities in the colonial era, can be more attractive to the public for visits.
"It's one of our efforts to make the museum not only an empty place, but a museum with history for our children and grandchildren," he added.
