KM Dorolonda, Owned By PT Pelni With A Capacity Of 2 Thousand Passengers, Caught Fire While Docking At Tanjung Priok Port
JAKARTA - The KM Dorolonda belonging to PT Pelni that caught fire was a passenger ship with a capacity of 2,000 passengers. However, when the fire broke out, the ship was not in a position carrying passengers.
The ship caught fire during repairs at the Jakarta 1 bailout owned by PT Dok and the Kodja Bahari Shipship (PT DKB), Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta, Monday, August 11, 2025.
Tanjung Priok Port Police Chief, AKBP Martuasah said the Doryonda ship that was on fire was carrying out routine maintenance. The ship is known to belong to PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Pelni).
"The ship does not carry passengers," he said, Monday, August 11, 2025.
According to the Police Chief, the incident occurred when he was undergoing routine treatment at PT Dock Kodja Bahari (DKB) Tanjung Priok Port.
"We are carrying out routine maintenance," he said.
According to a VOI source, KM Dorolinda is said to be docking at PT DKB Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta.
