Working Visit to Malaysia, Pramono Leaves Jakarta for 3 Days

JAKARTA - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has left Jakarta again after a week-long trip to New York, United States. This time, Pramono is on a three-day working visit to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

"The Governor's working visit is in response to an invitation from the Secretary General of the Malaysian Ministry of Housing and Regional Government, the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur, and the Secretary General of UCLG ASPAC," said Chico Hakim, the Governor's Special Staff for Social Communications, on Monday, August 11.

On Tuesday, August 12, Pramono spoke at the ASEAN Sustainable Urbanization Forum (ASUF) 2025, in the High-Level 2 session "Charting the Local Path to ASEAN 2045: Advancing Regional Visions through Local Action."

On Wednesday, August 13, Pramono also spoke at the Meeting of Governors and Mayors of ASEAN Capitals (MGMAC) 2025, in the session "ASEAN Future Cities and Regions: Inclusivity and Sustainability."

Afterward, he is scheduled to deliver congratulatory remarks at the ASEAN Governors and Mayors Forum (AGMF) 2025 session, entitled "ASEAN Future Cities and Regions: Inclusivity and Sustainability."

"ASUF, MGMAC, and AGMF 2025 are three regional forums that are part of a series of official activities for Malaysia's 2025 ASEAN chairmanship," Chico explained.

The bilateral event, attended by Pramono, is organized by the Malaysian Ministry of Local Government Development (KPKT) in collaboration with URBANICE Malaysia, United Cities and Local Governments Asia Pacific (UCLG ASPAC), UN-Habitat, and the ASEAN Secretariat.

"The Governor is scheduled to return to Jakarta on August 13, 2025," Chico said.
