Allegations Of Malpractice Patients Giving Birth, Islamic Hospital Pondok Kopi Responds
JAKARTA - The Jakarta Islamic Hospital (RSIJ) Pondok Kopi answered about the summons that had been sent by the attorney for the delivery patient Hera Puji Astuti alias HPA (26) some time ago.
According to the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Islamic Hospital, Pondok Kopi, Sulaiman, his party is always open to sitting together with HPA patients, family or legal team to discuss in a family manner and find the best solution.
"We have made an explanation of the patient's condition, treatment and treatment as well as the risks, including the referral process, before the summons or the circulation of news in the media," he said when confirmed by VOI, Monday, August 11, 2025.
His party admitted that they were ready to listen directly and provide a more in-depth explanation of each stage of treatment that had been provided by the Jakarta Islamic Hospital Pondok Kopi.
"For the summons submitted by the attorney, we always respond with transparent responses and explanations," he said.
Sulaiman admitted that this (malpractice) incident was a very valuable evaluation for his party to continue to improve the quality of services at the Jakarta Islamic Hospital, Pondok Kopi.
"Even now, we from the Jakarta Islamic Hospital Pondok Kopi and patients through their attorneys are still in the process of communicating and looking for the best solution for both parties," he said.

This incident began when a delivery patient named Hera Puji Astuti alias HPA (26) visited the Jakarta Pondok Kopi Islamic Hospital on Monday 5 May 2025 for the delivery process.
However, after undergoing medical procedures for childbirth at the hospital, his condition worsened significantly and was rushed to the ICU so that he could not be saved medically.
The family suspects that there has been negligence or malpractice in medical treatment of a patient named Hera Puji Astuti. The family has also filed a complaint with the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI), the Ministry of Health, and the Consumer Protection Agency.
The victim's attorney, Novi Delia Devi, regretted the response of the Pondok Kopi Hospital which was considered slow in responding to the alleged malpractice case experienced by a delivery patient named Hera Puji Astuti alias HPA (26).
In fact, his party had asked for an explanation from the Pondok Kopi Hospital previously, but there was no information whatsoever the family got regarding the alleged malpractice.
RSIJ Pondok Kopi only responded by giving a response after the case emerged in the media, especially after being given a subpoena by his party.
"Before this news rose there was no response. Then after we gave a new subpoena there was a response," said the victim's attorney, Novi Delia Devi when confirmed by VOI, Friday, August 8, 2025.
Furthermore, the Islamic Hospital Jakarta (RSIJ) Pondok Kopi only held a meeting with the patient's attorney on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at around 10:00 WIB.
