Press Criminality, DPRD Asks DKI Provincial Government To Reactivate Siskamling

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta DPRD has asked the DKI Provincial Government to reactivate the environmental security system (siskamling) in residential areas to reduce the number of crime.

This was revealed by DKI Jakarta DPRD member Dian Pratama in delivering the results of the 3rd recess of the DKI Jakarta DPRD during the third trial of 2024-2025.

"In order to create security, public order, environmental comfort and prevent criminal acts, the Council asks to revive its siskamling," said Dian, quoted on Sunday, August 10.

According to Dian, Jakarta needs to revive patrol activities or routine patrols involving residents to maintain the security of their respective residences.

"This is to prevent the activities of residents who exceed the boundaries such as juvenile delinquency, drinking, fighting, turning on loud music at night, littering, and other negative actions," explained Dian.

Based on the results of the recess, Dian revealed a number of points that need to be a priority in activating the case. In Central Jakarta, the area in question includes Jalan Kebon Pala 3 Tanah Abang, Jalan Kramat Pulo Gundul Johar Baru, and Jalan Sukamulya I Kemayoran.

In West Jakarta, mainly in Jalan Mawar Srengseng Kembangan, Jalan Jembatan Besi Raya Tambora, Jalan Keadilan V Glodok Taman Sari, Jalan Mangga Besar IV Taman Sari, Kampung Duri RT 018 RW 014 Duri Kosambi Cengkareng, and Jalan Jembatan Besi Raya Tambora.

South Jakarta includes Jalan Tanah Kusir II Kebayoran Lama, Jalan Tabah RT 05 RW 10 Grogol Selatan Kebayoran Lama, Gang Ibrahim Gang III Pancoran, Jalan Waspada I Lenteng Agung Jagakarsa, Jalan Manggarai Utara II, Jalan Flamboyan Menteng Dalam Tebet, Gang Gaya RT 03 RW 01 Pasar Minggu, and Jalan Kemang Utara D.

Meanwhile, East Jakarta is prioritized on Jalan Milling Elok RT 16 RW 09 Batu Ampar, Jalan Angklung Pondok Bambu, and Jalan Masjid I Cipayung.

Then North Jakarta, it is necessary to prioritize in Muara Bahari Tanjung Priuk Village, Jalan B 1 Pejagalan Penjaringan, the environment of South Ancol residents, and Jalan Ampera Besar Pademangan.
