Andre Taulany CS Challenged To Sing Dangdut Song For Kang Mak's Sequel Film, Kang Solah

JAKARTA - The production house Falcon Pictures officially launched a song called Senyum Bringing Luka by the late Meggy Z as the soundtrack for Kang Solah's latest film From Kang Mak x Grandma Gayung.

In this song, Rigen Rakelna, Tora Sudiro, Indro Warkop, Andre Taulany, Praz Teguh to Indra Jegel are trusted as fillers of the original soundtrack for this film as well as their newest film player.

They reveal that the legendary dangdut song perfectly describes the combination of the genres and emotions that will be presented in the film, which is a comedy wrapped in a love and sadness story.

According to Rigen Rakelna, there is a common spirit between songs and film stories that combine various nuances.

"Yes, it's more or less the same, because it seems like it's a genre and actually the storyline is still different, but in terms of genres it seems the same, comedy drama, but if we look at the first one, there's romance, there's also sadness," explained Rigen Rakelna in the South Jakarta area, Saturday, August 9th.

Indro Warkop also agrees that this film is not only about friendship.

"Not only friendship, there is a love story too," he said.

"There is a love story. That's why, 'Smile Brings Wounds' must have something to do with the story. That's why Falcon also chose this song for us to sing together," added Rigen.

In addition, the selection of the dangdut genre itself is a strategic step to participate in enlivening the rising music trend.

"Yes, because now we are reviving dangdut songs, right, with various genres. Actually, dangdut is really busy, that's why we want, 'Let's make dangdut,' that's it. Like from Falcon, that's the reason," concluded Rigen.

Furthermore, being an actor doesn't mean it's easy when you have to enter the recording kitchen. The stars of the sequel to Kang Mak and Gayung's grandmother shared their funny experiences and challenges when they had to sing the song 'Smileum Brings Luka', from running out of breath to panicking when they had to sing solo.

Indra Jegel admitted that with his modest vocal skills, the recording process made him quite nervous.

"Well, actually it's really nervous, yes, and we don't just absorb songs, yes, with this modest voice, I mean being told to sing, that's it," he admitted.

The biggest challenge arises when they have to record one by one. According to Tora Sudiro, singing together was easier, but the atmosphere changed drastically when it was a solo turn.

"As soon as we sing together we are safe, but as soon as we are alone we panic. Where is the tone? But it can be like that, 'Please draw the tone, please catch it'," recalled Tora.

The difficulty of adjusting the breath is also the main obstacle. "It's difficult, we don't have basic singers, it's hard to adjust the breath. When we have a moment we lose our breath, we laugh like that," added Jegel.

Even an Indro Warkop also found difficulties in certain parts of the lyrics. "'It's so complicated'," he said briefly.

The film Kang Solah From Kang Mak x Grandma Gayung itself will only be ready to air on September 25.
