Hotman Paris Asks Supporters Of Nikita Mirzani To Focus On The Core Of Cases Of IDR 4 Billion
JAKARTA - The famous lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea finally spoke up after admitting that he was contacted by hundreds of thousands of Nikita Mirzani fans who asked him to intervene.
Instead of immediately accepting, Hotman actually gave a short 'law study' to Nikita's supporters, asking them to focus on the essence of the legal issues they face, not on the technical drama of the trial.
Through a video, Hotman acknowledged the great support that came for Nikita.
"Hello, hundreds of thousands of fans from Nikita contacted Hotman, asking Hotman to also help Nikita. And there was also a lot of commotion on social media," said Hotman Paris, quoted by VOI from TikTok @hotmanparisofficialf, Sunday, August 10.
However, he highlighted that the current commotion on social media tends to be wrong.
"The question is, supporters rather than Nikita, what are the real demands focused on? Right now, many are only about the technicalities of the trial," he continued.
Hotman also dissects what he thinks is the heart of the case, which concerns the flow of funds from the reporting party.
"For example, about jackets that must be worn and so on. But, so that later you don't get fooled, so that from now on you focus, namely I read on social media related to the indictment of about 4 billion money from Reza Gladys," said Hotman Paris.
He then explained several legal possibilities related to the money which would be the judge's main consideration in deciding cases.
"Yes, the question is, is the 4 billion money related to endorsement? Is there a business agreement? If there is endorsement, is there evidence of endorsement? And also does it have anything to do with the alleged extortion associated with defamation? That will be considered by the judge later. So don't be disappointed, "he said.
Hotman emphasized that although the drama at trial sounded jarring, it was not the winner.
"That would be, if technical matters at trial, it was indeed very jarring. Many voices contributed that the way the trial was not true," continued Hotman Paris.
While emphasizing his neutral position because he was not Nikita's attorney, Hotman again reminded supporters to focus on substance.
"I don't know which is true because I'm not his lawyer. I don't know if it's really the 4 billion money for endorsement, whether it's a business deal, or whether it has anything to do with the alleged extortion with defamation," explained Hotman.
"That's what you have to focus on. You give advice, you comment because the judge only needs to consider it later," he said.
In closing, Hotman gave strategic advice that should be the concern of Nikita's legal team and their supporters.

"That's the core of the demand. And I don't want to give the right opinion because it concerns the facts of the trial. Yes. So that you can contact Nikita's lawyer, make sure to focus on that," said Hotman Paris.
"If it's endorsement, where's the evidence? If it's an alleged extortion, how, how do you deny it? That's how to handle the case. Okay? Focus on the core of the problem because that's what the judge will decide," he concluded.
