Governor Of Babel Affirms Eradication Of Misappropriation Of Fisherman Subsidized Fuel

PANGKAL PINANG - Governor of the Bangka Belitung Islands (Babel) Hidayat Arsani emphasized that he would eradicate subsidized fuel (BBM) misappropriation for fishermen, in order to encourage fish catch and the welfare of fishermen's families in the area.

"Currently, fishermen have difficulty getting this subsidized fuel and sometimes use jerry cans to look for and buy fuel at a price of twice so they can go to sea," said Hidayat Arsani in Pangkalpinang, Saturday.

He asked the police to take firm action against the perpetrators of this subsidized fuel misappropriation because this subsidy program is President Prabowo Subianto's mandate to improve the community's economy.

"I ask the police to arrest the misuse of subsidized fuel into these illegal tin mines. The police should not '86' misappropriation of subsidized fuel from fishermen because this is the governor's order," he said.

He stated that Pertamina had allocated subsidized fuel for fishermen in accordance with the number of ships and the need for fishing fuel to go to sea.

"Pertamina has distributed this subsidized fuel to fishermen, but the fact is that fishermen are still buying retail fuel because subsidized fuel at gas stations has been misappropriated for illegal mining," he said.

According to him, the misappropriation of subsidized fuel is certainly not optimal for selling fish caught by fishermen to improve the economy of fishermen's families because they buy retail fuel at high prices.

"The police arrested and no longer called 86-86. As long as someone who is not a fisherman buys subsidized fuel, the fishermen immediately catch it because this subsidized fuel must reach fishermen. It will not be rich in eating this subsidized oil because this is the president's mandate," he said.
