Komdigi Collaborates With TNI To Strengthen Digital Infrastructure Security In The 3T Area
The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) is trying to strengthen the security of digital infrastructure in the country. In this effort, Komdigi will be supported by the Indonesian National Army (TNI).
Through this collaboration, the TNI will assist Komdigi in maintaining infrastructure security in the frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped (3T) areas.
According to Komdigi, this partnership is a very important step because the challenges of digital defense are increasingly difficult.
Minister of Komdigi Meutya Hafid also mentioned digital infrastructure in the Papua region. This infrastructure is a very vital part so there needs to be a strong defense.
"The Ministry of Communication and Industry is building connectivity in the Papua region in collaboration with TNI friends, especially those who work there," said Meutya while attending the briefing of the LXVI Seskoad 2025 Regular Education Student Officer (Pasis Dikreg), quoted on Saturday, August 9.
Meutya emphasized that the role of the TNI is urgently needed today because of global geopolitical dynamics. In this case, defense is not only physically needed, but also digitally.

"In this geopolitical conflict, there are also digital wars. It illustrates the importance of digital defense," said Meutya.
"That's where the importance of digitalization is being monitored. Not only by IT experts, but also people who are experts in defense strategies," he continued.
Meutya believes this collaboration will continue. The reason is, the challenges of digital defense are increasingly complex because of the large number of foreign satellite connectivity services. This has the potential to pose risks to national security.
