VOI Today: Amazing UN Up 250 Percent, Regent Pati Sudewo Threatened To Resign From His Position

The Regent of Pati, Sudewo, was protested by his citizens for raising the Land and Building Tax (PBB P-2) by 250 percent to increase Regional Revenue.

Sudewo challenged the people who did not agree with his policy to hold a demonstration. Residents finally work together to prepare a massive demonstration on August 13.

Sudewo was then reprimanded by Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi. Sudewo also apologized and canceled the plan to increase taxes.

Even though it was canceled, residents will still hold an action on August 13 in front of the Pati Regent's Office. The crowd demanded the Regent to resign because of other controversial policies.
