Sucok Asset Management Inaugurates 'Patuh Pacu' Reading Park In West Lombok, Increases Literacy To Remote Areas
JAKARTA - The Asset Management together with the Tunas Bakti Nusantara Foundation inaugurated the Community Reading Park (TBM) Patuh Pacu in Aik Mual Hamlet, Sekotong Timur, West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. The name Patuh Pacu, which is taken from Sasak and means diligently and peacefully, reflects the hope of the birth of a learning space that empowers and is inclusive for all levels of society.
The inauguration was also attended by Fajrin Hermansyah, Director and Chairman of the ESG Committee Sucor Asset Management, Wahyu Andito from the Bakti Nusantara Tunas Foundation, as well as local village officials and representatives from the West Lombok Resort Police. This activity is part of the Literacy Adventure program at the End of the Country, as a tangible manifestation of the commitment of Sucor Asset Management in encouraging sustainable social development through the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) approach.
"In Sucor Asset Management, we believe that investment is not only a matter of numbers, but about long-term contributions to the community. We hope that Patuh Pacu Reading Park will become a common growth space, where Aik Mual residents can learn, discuss, and develop together," said Fajrin Hermansyah in his remarks, quoted Friday, August 8.
According to Fajrin, this initiative is also in line with the mission of Sucor Asset Management to expand the positive impact of investment through measurable social programs. He emphasized that literacy is an important foundation in creating an independent and competitive society, especially in areas that have limited access to educational resources.
"In the future, we want to ensure that Patuh Pacu Reading Park is not only a place to read, but also a catalyst for the birth of new ideas from local communities. We will continue to strive to assist this facility to develop according to the needs of residents, so that the benefits can be felt in a sustainable manner," added Fajrin.

The 'Pacu Patuh' Reading Park is not only intended for Madrasah Ibtidaiyah and Madrasah Tsanawiyah students who are in the surrounding environment, but is also open to the entire community of Aik Mual Hamlet and surrounding hamlets, from various ages. This TBM is expected to be a center of community activity, a place to gather, exchange ideas, develop potential, and expand access to information and literacy.
It is estimated that around 400 people will be be beneficiaries of this reading park, including 90 students/i MI and MTs as well as hundreds of residents from various backgrounds. TBM Patuh Pacu will be managed collaboratively by elements of the community, school, and local village government so that its sustainability can be maintained and continues to grow.
