Senior Golkar Party Affirms The Issue Of The Hoax Munaslub: We Are Calm Under Bahlil's Leadership

JAKARTA - Golkar Party senior politician Melchias Marcus Mekeng emphasized that the issue of extraordinary national deliberation (Munaslub) to replace the general chairman was fake news or hoaxes. According to him, all cadres of the banyan party are conducive under the leadership of Bahlil Lahadalia.

"In my opinion, the issue of the munaslub is unclear, no cadres will appear in the future, Golkar cadres dare to state that there must be a munaslub. This is if we read in the media only the issues, but the source from where it was never clear. So that's hoax news," said Mekeng at the DPR building, Friday, August 8.

"And we in the Golkar Party, under the leadership of Mr. Bahlil, we are calm," he added.

In fact, said Mekeng, Bahlil is diligent in conducting roadshows to the regions for consolidation from the district level to the provinces every week. The chairman of the Golkar MPR faction also challenged the cadres who wanted the munaslub to come to the surface.

"You have to put your face on. If you want to do healthy politics, your face will appear. Who wants to be a munaslub and he has to explain why there must be a munaslub," said Mekeng.

Mekeng denied Bahlil's goal of consolidating to the regions in order to strengthen his position amidst the issue of the munaslub. He also guaranteed that the internal Golkar Party was solid under Bahlil's command, from branches to central administrators.

"What I feel is still solid," he said.
