Arriving At The KPK Building, East Kolaka Regent Abdul Azis Kukuh Denies Being Affected By OTT
East Kolaka Regent Abdul Azis firmly denied being secured in a bribery operation to improve the quality of hospitals (RS) on Thursday, August 7 evening.
This was conveyed by Abdul Azis when he arrived at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Friday, August 8. He became the last group brought by the KPK team.
"You really got the OTT or not, sir," asked the journalist who was waiting for Abdul Azis at the location.
"No," said Abdul Azis while entering the building.
Abdul Azis arrived at around 16.23 WIB. He was seen wearing a white hat and covering his face with a mask.
Meanwhile, Abdul Azis was questioned at the South Sulawesi Regional Police. He will then undergo further requests for information at the KPK office.
Meanwhile, KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that all information related to arrests would be officially conveyed. Investigations are still being carried out on the parties who have been arrested.
"Later we will explain the chronology and the construction of the case. So that people can also judge it's not a drama but there are facts of their actions," he said in a written statement.
As previously reported, the KPK has brought seven people consisting of private parties and Civil Servants (PNS) in a hand arrest operation (OTT) on Thursday, August 7.
However, the polemic had occurred because Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Johanis Tanak previously confirmed that the East Kolaka Regent was caught OTT but NasDem soon issued a statement from Abd Azis participating in a national working meeting (Rakernas).
"We respect the law and the investigation process, but don't do dramas in open spaces on social media," said NasDem DPP General Treasurer Ahmad Sahroni, in his statement, Thursday, August 7.
"If this Regent is the target of law enforcement, please do it according to the process. But don't make noise as if OTT. People are now smarter, they can't be fooled," continued the Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR.
