Prada Lucky Dies Allegedly Persecuted Senior, 20 TNI Soldiers Examined, 4 Others Detained

Regional Military Command IX/Udayana said 20 TNI AD soldiers were being investigated to investigate the death of Prada Lucky Chepril Saputra Namo who served in the Development Territorial Battalion 834 Waka Nga Mere, Nagekeo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

"What we received was information about 20 people, but in the capacity to be questioned and that was only asked for information. Later on, we will still run to the applicable process from the investigation team," said Deputy Head of Pendam IX/Udayana Lt. Col. Inf. Amir Syarifudin in Denpasar, Bali, Friday, confiscated by Antara.

Lt. Col. Amir said the 20 people were examined as witnesses in the Prada Lucky unit on duty. Of the 20 people being examined, four were arrested by Sudenpom Kupang.

However, Amir said the status of the four people was not yet known for certain whether they were arrested as suspected perpetrators or in other capacities because the investigation process was ongoing.

"Four people have his capacity, whether he is in detention to secure or is he the suspect (not yet known). We respect the investigation process is ongoing," he said.

He ensured that the investigation team consisting of elements of the Kupang Military Police Sub Detachment (Sudenpom) and Intelligence had gone to the TKP to make clear the incident of the death of a TNI AD soldier Prada Lucky.

Amir ensured that the investigation into the alleged abuse to death case would be carried out in a transparent and professional manner by adhering to the applicable law.

"We do it transparently, openly, meaning that we still uphold the law. We still uphold the law, including those four people, we use the principle of presumption of innocence," concluded Amir.

Previously, Prada Lucky was reported to have died on Wednesday (6/8) at 10.30 WITA after receiving intensive care for four days at the Aeramo General Hospital, Nagekeo.

Prada Lucky has only been a member of the TNI for two months. He officially joined the TNI AD in May 2025.

After completing his education in Buleleng, Bali, Prada Lucky was placed in the Development Territorial Battalion 834 Waka Nga Mere (Yon TP 834/WM), Nagekeo Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
