Anticipating The Domination Of Shopping Shiftation To Online, The Government Encourages Trade Balance
JAKARTA - The government has prepared various policies to increase people's purchasing power in the offline or online trade sector.
"That's a phenomenon (shift of spending from offline to online) in all countries like that. That's precisely why we have to prepare policies to be balanced," said Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs Susiwijono Moegiarso to the media crew, Friday, August 8.
He added that the Government also provides incentives and makes special programs for the offline sector so that they can continue to compete and develop amid changes in people's spending patterns.
Susiwijono gave an example, such as at the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) being asked to resume various promotional programs such as discounts on shopping and shopping festivals in shopping places or Malls.
In addition, he conveyed that his party together with the Ministry of Trade continue to collaborate with associations such as Hippindo, Aprindo, and others to support non-digital business actors.
In addition, he denied that the release of the marketplace transaction data that had just been recorded by BPS was now due to a directive from President Prabowo to reduce the issue of rojali-royana.
"Oh no. If BPS is as much data as possible, it must be reshuffled as much as possible. If someone hasn't, it must be completed immediately. It's not just the transaction," he said.
He also conveyed that, like data from the Special Economic Zone (KEK) which is under the coordination of his party, export-import data from the SEZ has actually been recorded through the LNSW system in Customs and Excise, investment data is submitted through the LKPM report to the BKPM, but apparently, BPS still needs production data from the SEZ because this component is needed in calculating Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

"But it turns out that BPS needs to record production data. Now it is indeed a component in GDP. Yes, it's okay, we'll just record it now," he explained.
He said that in the previous quarter the system was not yet available so data was asked manually and this quarter the system was already available and the data had been filled, this was a continuous process.
"At that time, the import data was not 100 percent. There is a tied area that hasn't yet. No, it's okay, the progress is gradual. Now it's more complete. It doesn't mean it keeps on, oh this continues to be added because of this, right. No. The concept is that BPS for all components of GDP must be recorded in everything," he explained.
"If there is something that has not been pursued, it must be pursued. That is why digital transactions are problematic, then data in SEZs, industrial areas. Additional data is completed," he added.
