Ketum Kadin Anindya Bakrie: Economic Resilience Has A Role In Building Nationalism-Patriotism
Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Anindya Bakrie invites Indonesian businessmen to become national-minded economic fighters considering that economic resilience is one of the important factors to maintain national resilience.
"We together agree that this economic resilience has an important role for national resilience, so it is necessary for us to build nationalism, patriotism, and national insight," said Anindya Bakrie as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 8.
To strengthen the national insight of Kadin members, the organization held a Retret Kadin 2025 in collaboration with the National Resilience Institution (Lemhannas) and the Indonesian National Army (TNI).
The activity was held on Friday (8/8), until Sunday (10/8), at the Military Academy, Magelang, Central Java, and was attended by 200 Kadin businessmen, including Chairul Tanjung (CT Corp), James Riady (Lippo Group), Hashim Djojohadikusumo (Arsari Group), to Franky Widjaja (Sinar Mas Group).
The participants, according to Anidnya, departed on two Hercules planes and were scheduled to be released by President Prabowo Subianto at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport at 14.00 WIB.
Apart from Lemhanas, the retret event will be filled with material delivery sessions and discussions with a number of ministers, including the Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs (Menko Pangan) Zulkifli Hasan and the Coordinating Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Development (IPK) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono.
Minister of Defense (Menhan) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Minister of Trade (Mendag) Budi Santoso, and Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) as well as CEO of Danantara Indonesia Rosan Roeslani.
Anindya said the presence of representatives from the ranks of government was a momentum for members of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to understand government economic development programs and directions, as well as provide advice and input to the government from the perspective of entrepreneurs.
"The government and Kadin are equal partners. So, if we really understand what the government wants, of course we can support it better," he said.
