4 People Arrested In Metro, Police Find Sabu And Revolver Assembled
The Metro Police (Polres), Lampung Police arrested four suspects in a raid on a suspected drug abuse case of methamphetamine and possession of illegal firearms.
"The suspects were arrested on Jalan Tangkil, Metro Village, Central Metro District, Metro City," said Metro Police Chief AKBP Hangga Utama Darmawan, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 8.
He said that during the raid officers from the Drug Investigation Unit together with the Tekab 308 Team of the Metro Police arrested two men with the initials MRI (30) and RAF (37), as well as two women with the initials ASZ (23) and S (25).
"The four suspects were arrested while they were at one of the locations on Jalan Tangkil. During a search of their bodies and clothes, a number of evidences allegedly related to the abuse of methamphetamine," said Hangga.
Meanwhile, the evidence confiscated included: a clear plastic clip containing crystal grains suspected of having methamphetamine weighing 0.40 grams; two glass pipettes or Pirek containing white deposits suspected of being methamphetamine.
Then, two plastic pipettes with crystal patches; a set of methamphetamine suction devices (bongs); a homemade firearm of the rotating cylindrical revolver type, which was found in the MRI suspect's pants.
"In addition to narcotics evidence, from the suspect's pants, we also found one homemade revolver. This adds to the severity of the alleged criminal act committed," he explained.
Furthermore, the four perpetrators and evidence were secured at the Metro Police Headquarters for further investigation. Meanwhile, evidence of homemade firearms has been submitted to the Criminal Investigation Unit for follow-up.
