Throughout August, Bogor Residents Can Get Free Marriage In 6 District Points

BOGOR In order to enliven the commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, the Bogor Regency Government organizes a Free Marriage program for people in various regions. This activity will take place throughout August 2025, from 5 to 31 August.

Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto initiated the program as a form of concern for residents, especially in facilitating the legality of marriage officially without costs.

The implementation of the free marriage was held at six sub-district points. The inaugural event took place in Cigudeg District on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, covering the areas of Cigudeg, Sukajaya, Nanggung, Jasinga, Tenjo, Parungpanjang, Leuwiliang, and Leuwisadeng.

The activity continued on Thursday, August 7 in Cijeruk District, which includes Caringin, Cavi, Cigombong, Cijeruk, Cisarua, Megamendung, Tamansari, and Ciomas. Then, Saturday, August 9, the program was held in Nanggung District which serves couples from Leuwiliang, Leuwisadeng, Nanggung, Cigudeg, Sukajaya, Tenjo, Jasinga, and Parungpanjang.

Furthermore, on Tuesday, August 12, it was Cibungbulang District's turn to host, including the areas of Ciampea, Cibungbulang, Dramaga, Pamijahan, and Tenjolaya. On Wednesday, August 20, the activity took place in Sukamakmur District, including Cariu, Cileungsi, Gunungputri, Jonggol, Tanjungsari, and Klapanunggal.

The next day, Thursday, August 21, the event was held in Sukaraja District which includes Babakan Madang, Cibinong, Citeureup, and Sukaraja. Meanwhile, the closure will take place on Thursday, August 28, in Parung District with the coverage of Bojonggede, Kemang, Ciseeng, Rumpin, Parung, Rancabungur, and Tajurhalang areas.

Each location has a maximum quota of 50 couples. Registration is carried out through the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) in their respective domicile sub-districts. This program not only helps administratively, but also eases the economic burden on couples who have not been able to inaugurate marriages due to limited costs.

With this program, many couples in Bogor Regency can marry legally, free of charge, and full of happiness. In addition, this activity is expected to be able to strengthen family resilience and provide legal protection for married couples, especially in rural areas.

The Bogor Regent hopes that the free marriage program can continue and reach more people in need. This program received a positive response from the community, one of which was Rahmat, a resident of Cijeruk District, who was a participant at the event.

"Thank you very much to the Regent of Bogor, for holding this free marriage. Anyway, thank you very much, very much, firmly, the point is," said Rahmat enthusiastically.
