Economic Growth Improves, Head Of PCO: Government Is Honest With Data
JAKARTA - Head of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) Hasan Nasbi responded to a number of economists highlighting 5.12 percent of economic growth data issued by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) some time ago.
To reporters, Thursday, August 7, Hasan Nasbi revealed that the government was honest in informing the public about the data.
However, a number of economists consider that there is something odd about the data provided by BPS. So that for the calculation of economic growth by 5.12 percent, it is considered odd.
Hasan Nasbi gave an idea that when Indonesia's economic data fell, the government honestly reported it to the public.
Evidence of the government's honesty in providing economic data is told during the fourth quarter of 2024. At that time Prabowo Subianto only served as President with 5.02 percent economic growth.
In the first quarter of 2025 there was a decrease in economic growth by 4.87 percent and this was conveyed honestly by the government.
