Dozens Of Takes, Iwan Fals Working On The Soundtrack Of Panji Skull With Isyana Sarasvati

JAKARTA - Iwan Fals and Isyana Sarasvati were finally announced as soundtracks for the Indonesian animated film "Panji Skull". They sang an old song entitled Bunga Terakhir by Bebi Romeo.

As a senior musician, Iwan Fals is happy to be involved in this project. Moreover, he felt the strong creative atmosphere of his tandem, Isyana.

"This song (Last Flower) feels personal for me, so singing it with Isyana is able to provide energy," said Iwan during a press conference launching the Panji Skull soundtrack in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, citing ANTARA on Thursday, August 7.

Iwan said he and Isyana tried 30 times to get the best recording results as expected.

"That was (the process) up to 30 times, repeating itself and finally meeting (fit) his voice," said Iwan.

Iwan also praised Isyana's character as a singer who has high discipline in respecting time.

The lyric correlation of the song "Last Flower" with the storyline of the film "Panji Skull" is also a separate discussion.

The lyrics of Bebi Romeo's song are believed to be a strong emotional bridge to describe Panji's pain, loss, and revenge on the people who have claimed his happiness.

Producer Panji Skull Frederica from Falcon Pictures said that the selection of songs and collaboration is expected to leave a strong impression on the audience.

"We want the soundtrack of Panji Skull not only to support the story, but also to speak directly to the hearts of the audience," said Frederica.

He added that only Iwan Fals and Isyana could convey that depth, even though there were different generations, they felt they could fill each other in to perform this song.

"The voices of Isyana and Iwan Fals are united in harmony that enliven the meeting of two generations," said Frederica.
