Leclerc Gives Support To Lewis Hamilton

JAKARTA Charles Leclerc gave support to his teammate, Lewis Hamilton, after a bad weekend at the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix last weekend.

The two Ferrari Mill racers got different results at the Hungaroring Circuit on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Leclerc finished fourth, while his colleagues were in 12th position.

"In the end, we are a team. Even though I want to finish in front of Lewis, I want both of us to be successful and Ferrari is also successful," Charles Leclerc said.

Lewis Hamilton's journey with Ferrari so far is still difficult and continues in Hungary. Before finishing outside the top 10, he was first eliminated in the second half of qualifying at one of his best circuits.

After a poor result in Hungaroring, the seven-time world champion said he was useless and advised Ferrari to change riders.

In this season's calendar, Hamilton is not on the podium at all. His best finish was the fourth position he got three times, in a row at Emilia Romagna, Austria, and England.

"Obviously this weekend is a tough weekend for Lewis, but I'm sure this is just once. I'm sure the second half of the season will be much more positive," Leclerc said.

Hamilton currently occupies sixth place in the standings with a collection of 109 points. He is right behind Leclerc who occupies fifth place with 151 points.

The top position was controlled by Oscar Piastri who defended McLaren. The Australian racer was recorded as collecting 284 points or winning just nine points from his teammate Lando Norris in second place.
