BI Records Primary Money Grows Slowing To IDR 1,925.4 Trillion In July 2025
JAKARTA Bank Indonesia (BI) recorded that the position of primary money (M0) adjusted in July 2025 grew 7.0 percent (yoy), continuing growth in the previous month by 8.6 percent (yoy) so that it was recorded at IDR 1,925.4 trillion.
Head of the BI Communications Department, Ramdan Denny Prakoso, explained that this development was influenced by the growth of cash which was circulated at 9.7 percent (yoy) and the giro of commercial banks at Bank Indonesia adjusted by 8.4 percent (yoy).
"Based on the factors that influence it, M0 Adjusted growth has taken into account the impact of providing liquidity incentives (adjusted monetary control)," he said in his official statement, Thursday, August 7.
Previously, BI recorded economic liquidity or money in circulation in a broad sense (M2) in June 2025 of 6.5 percent (yoy), higher than the growth in May 2025 of 4.9 percent (yoy) so that it was recorded at IDR 9,597.7 trillion.
Denny said the development was driven by the narrow money supply (M1) growth of 8.0 percent (yoy) and quasi money of 4.7 percent (yoy).

He conveyed that the development of M2 in June 2025 was mainly influenced by developments in lending and net foreign assets.
Meanwhile, credit disbursement in June 2025 grew by 7.6 percent (yoy), after previously growing by 8.1 percent (yoy).
Meanwhile, the net bill to the Central Government (Pempus) contracted by 8.2 percent (yoy), after contracting by 25.7 percent (yoy) in the previous month.
Meanwhile, net foreign assets grew by 3.9 percent, relatively stable against growth in May 2025.
