Today, KPK Summons Nadiem Makarim And Yaqut Cholil In Investigation Of Alleged Corruption
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned former Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Nadiem Anwar Makarim, and former Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas today, Thursday 7 August.
"There is a request for information from several officials, and a former official at the Ministry of Education and Culture," said KPK Deputy Chair Fitroh Rohcahyanto at the Juang Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 6.
Fitroh continued, Then the investigation related to the implementation of the 2023-2024 hajj is in the process of being investigated, and it seems that there is also a request for information on several parties who are considered to be aware of the alleged corruption there.
Nadiem was further summoned to investigate allegations of corruption related to Google Cloud at the Ministry of Education and Culture, while Yaqut was related to the investigation into alleged corruption related to the special hajj quota.
Nadiem's attorney confirmed his client's presence this Thursday.
