KPK Receives 2,273 Complaints Of Alleged Corruption Until Mid-2025

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that there were 2,273 complaints of alleged corruption received until the middle of the year or the first semester of 2025. Complaints mostly occurred in January and February.

"During January to June 2025, there were 2,273 complaints," said KPK Deputy Chair Fitroh Rohcahyanto in a press conference quoted from the Indonesian KPK YouTube show, Thursday, August 7.

From the verification and review process, continued Fitroh, there were 254 complaints that were incomplete and precise, such as those reported in complaints not state administrators, there were no elements of corruption, and so on.

Furthermore, there were 325 reports of unlawful acts or abuse of authority resulting in state losses, 126 reports with other information, and 103 reports regarding bribery.

"The bribe is still quite massive. It is illustrated from the reports that came to the KPK," he said.

Furthermore, Fitroh added that in six months his institution has also carried out investigations into 31 cases, investigations of 43 cases, prosecution of 46 cases.

Then cases declared inkrah total 31 and 35 cases have been executed.

"As a real contribution, the KPK until the first semester of 2025 has succeeded in restoring state finances of around Rp. 394.2 billion," said the former Director of Prosecution of the KPK.

The money came from fines, replacement money and loot which were then deposited into the state treasury in the form of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP).
