Darwin Nunez Prepares For Community Shield, Even Though A Little More Moves To Al Hilal
JAKARTA - Darwin Nunez is expected to be included in the Liverpool squad for Community Shield on Sunday, August 10, 2025, although he is a few more to move to Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal.
The Press Association reports that the Uruguayan National Team (Timnas) player representative is in intense talks with Al Hilal, who has been linked to the striker for several months.
Negotiations are going positive. World football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, even said Nunez was one step away from joining Al Hilal.
" Darwin Nunez's agreement will cost 53 million euros (Rp 1 trillion) plus bonuses. Al Hilal has agreed to all requirements with Liverpool."
"The news that was revealed today confirms that the agreement between clubs has been completed. Liverpool will receive a fixed fee of 53 million euros plus bonuses as Nunez is finalizing her contract terms with Al Hilal."

"The deal is almost complete, Darwin is open to moving and as soon as the details are clarified. He will travel for a medical examination," wrote Fabrizio Romano on his Instagram account.
If Nunez moves at that price, Liverpool may say a loss. You see, the striker joined the Reds from Benfica for an initial transfer value of 64 million pounds (Rp1.3 trillion) in the summer of 2022.
He has scored 40 goals in 143 appearances over three seasons. However, his influence faded the 2024/2025 season despite Liverpool winning the Premier League. Nunez only scored seven goals in all competitions.
If Nunez leaves, Liverpool's front line reshuffle will continue, given Luis Diaz has also left to join Bayern Munich this summer.
Federico Chiesa is also associated with a move from Anfield.
A similar situation also occurred to midfielder Harvey Elliott, who was reportedly targeted by RB Leipzig.
The 22-year-old, who is the best player in the tournament as England won Euro U-21 this summer, made 28 appearances for the 2024/2025 season, but only three times started in the Premier League or Champions League.
Chances are likely to be even more limited ahead of the new season. After appearing in 4-1 win over Athletic Club on Monday, August 4, 2025, he became the last person to leave the pitch, waved, and gave a kiss to all four sides of the pitch.
